recently booked a family holiday to Qatar through Loveholidays. The booking was made over the phone, as the representative offered me a small discount. The package included flights for two adults and two children, plus transfers.The day before our flight, I received an email from the transport company confirming that a car had been booked. On reviewing this, I immediately raised concerns with Loveholidays, as the vehicle clearly wasn’t large enough to accommodate four passengers, three suitcases, and a baby stroller. Initially, the representative suggested arranging an additional car at my expense. When I questioned how they expected us to fit into the original car, they acknowledged it was an error on Loveholidays’ part and apologised. Unfortunately, they then informed me that no suitable alternative could be found.After escalating the issue to a manager, I was given two options: accept the unsuitable car transfer or cancel and receive a refund. With no other choice, I reluctantly accepted the refund, leaving me to arrange alternative transport at very short notice. While the staff were polite throughout, the situation caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience, and my request for compensation went on deaf ears.The explanation I was given was that Loveholidays always books the cheapest transfer option for the passengers, which in this case was a car. However, their system does not take luggage requirements into account—a clear flaw I highlighted to them.Thankfully, Qatar has excellent local transport services, and my hotel was only 20 minutes away. Had the journey been longer, I would have faced significant additional costs due to Loveholidays’ inability to provide a suitable solution.
