We specifically chose and paid extra for a Garden View room because the view and atmosphere are an important part of our holiday experience. Instead, upon arrival, we were given a room with a completely different view, nothing like what was advertised or what we had paid for.
After a long journey, the last thing anyone wants is to start their holiday with frustration and disappointment at reception. Instead of relaxing, we had to spend time raising complaints and trying to explain that the room we received was not the one we booked. This situation unnecessarily affected the beginning of our stay and left a very negative impression.
When travelers pay extra for a specific room type, they trust the platform to deliver what is promised. Unfortunately, in this case, that trust was broken.
We sincerely hope Loveholydays takes situations like this seriously and improves the accuracy and responsibility of the listings offered on the platform, so other travelers do not have their holidays start the way ours did.
