These clowns specialise in attempting to collect statute barred debts by hoodwinking people into making some sort of admission to the ‘debt’ Reading on forums this practice sometimes involves chasing old accounts from 15 plus years ago! I’ve recently been contacted re some nonsense about a vanquis credit card and how to pay them - which I’m I have no intention of doing as there is no liability. Their communication even mentioned ‘checks were made as to my old address , and various accounts opened there’ meaning I still live there according to them. My ex partner and myself have checked these claims in case of fraudulent activity and everything is clear. Lowell are treading a very fine line in not being reported to the FCA for these actions - that is if they even performed them at all , and not an effort to mislead.They have been told to cease and desist , yet I received a further email demanding payment , so a report will be forthcoming
