I received a phone call today from lowells regarding ccj debts from around 2005 and 2009.The lady said I was still liable to pay these debts and they can be enforced even though I've heard nothing from any debtors for over 13 years I explained that these debts are now statute barred to which I was told there not. I then spoke to a supervisor (Nick7453) who confirmed these debts are not statute barred and still enforceable. He also notified me he would not stop contacting me by phone or in writing even though I've requested this on medical grounds. I've researched all sites regarding ccj's after 6 years. Can a debt be chased after 6 years? The time limit is sometimes called the limitation period. For most debts, the time limit is 6 years since you last wrote to them or made a payment. I have now requested lowell to prove that the debt is not statute barred and to cease contacting me by trying to enforce dated debt.I have also made a complaint and I'm awaiting the outcome. I will update later. Thanks for your reply Ben, what more details do you require .if you read the above..the supervisors name and extention no is there. The statute barred template from the citizens advice bureau has been emailed to: enquiries emailThe complaint has been emailed to;Complaintsresolution email
