Report this companyI've had to make several reports about this company to Financial Conduct Authority as the Lowell tried and failed to obtain £765.23p from my self. what I did was write to the company only using the information on the letter they sent out (do not ever disclose other information like your date of birth, email or contact number even if you contact them as this give this company the upper hand, infact never call them all use email as this give you paper trail.lowell ignored my request for evidence and under consumer law act the burden is on lowell to prove you owe the money not the other way around.i then reported the company to information commissioner office, they helped and lowell ignored them, so i ssued court papers which the company ignored anyway took this company to court and they were found guilty of not providing evidence to customer which is law and they were found guilty or trying to obtain money by fraudulent means. hence to say they had to pay cost and compensation, they had to remove the default from credit file don't ever pay this company until they can prove you actually owe it.Replying to CatherineFirstly the lady did not direct message me and she a complete liar. the Information commissioner office and Trading standards make if perfectly clear not to provide this company with any details about yourself and the burden of proof relating to a debt is placed on the company to prove not you this is the lawso please if you receive a letter from this company do not phone them or provide them any information about you, just clearly send them an email asking for the case file under freedom of information act , this can be done just by using the reference this company provides on their letters, do not give them any another information as they could alter the details they hold about you.
