I received a bill several years after leaving a rented property that I was unaware of that wasnt my sole responsibility .I was asked to verify this , which I did and I could prove with bank statements and a tenancy agreement from the estate agents that it was a joint tenancy and my half of the bill was paid on time fully but they still put a default on my credit rating for £200 for a bill that I was not responsible for even though i agreed to pay a further 50% on a bill that wasnt mine as a gesture of payment that they accepted . It's now affecting my credit score . The person who I liased with on the phone at Lowell did not inform me of this and accepted my proof of my payment of half of the bill on time and my tenancy agreement, I was not informed it would affect my credit rating for a bill that was not mine to pay . This seems very unfair .
