I booked tickets to Florida on United Airlines and after waiting hopelessly for more than 12 hours without any flight confirmation, I was able to speak with customer service agent Elena Lopez. Elena is a patient and very good customer service agent who did her very best to help us. She was very sincere in her efforts to help us and called and emailed multiple times with all the information we needed. However, I can’t help that I am disappointed that my flight has now been changed from United Airlines to Frontier airlines. It is frustrating that this company takes payment for reservation on one airline and finally tells the passengers that the seats are not available on that flight. I was given an option to pay an additional $1000 to fly on United or just accept reservations on Frontier Airlines. While I was super angry about it, the only saving grace was the patience and support of Elena Lopez. I had to accept reservations on Frontier Airlines or lose $75 head to cancel my reservation on United airlines although it was not yet 24 hours since I made the booking. I did not want to pay $300 penalty (we are four passengers) for no fault of mine. It sounded like this company likes to force passengers to fly Frontier Airlines and leave us with very few practical options, which made me very angry. Elena understood all the hassles I went through, and realized that this was an emotionally draining experience for me. She was kind enough to offer a couple of compensatory perks including a small discount on the Frontier airlines etc. Elena was very prompt in keeping me posted about the reservations and also arranged a conference call with my husband, her and I, so we could finalize the tickets. While I appreciate Elena’s sincere and earnest efforts to offer customer support, I don’t think I would use this website for my future travels. This company is fortunate to have a customer service agent like Elena Lopez, who is truly a saving grace. Thanks for your support Elena.
