I’m doing my second fully online ACCA course with LSBF. Last year I was successful when I did the MA. I work full time with zero time off for study and lived in a six hours time difference with the UK. Thanks to the tutors for doing an excellent job and i must also thank Natasha for the exceptional customer service I always receive when I have any administrative issues. She always respond to me promptly especially as it relates to accessing course videos and study materials and I am grateful. I am happy I choose to study with LSBF.
I have followed the online MPH at LSBF, and my experience with the program was overall very positive.The teachers with whom I had the chance to study were competent in sharing their knowledge, responsive to questions, and extremely helpful throughout the courses in correcting and advising intermediate assignments. Tutors and admin staff were also responsive in solving issues encountered.The fully online program allows a large flexibility. The workload is significant, yet compatible for students with a full-time job, as was my case. I chose the global health specialization. The curriculum was well built, with core courses more general on public and global health foundations, and specialized ones more anchored to the chosen path, encompassing topics pertinent to contemporary times.Exams were assignments. I particularly appreciated this format, since it was not only evaluating the knowledge acquired throughout the course, but also simulating its on-field application.I had an extremely positive experience of thesis writing with my assigned supervisor Elizabeth Clarey. She gave me precious guidance and was always available to exchange and help throughout the whole process.I have not given the full 5-star rating because, in my opinion, a couple of points could be improved. - Although specializing curricula are proposed, the fields remain extremely broad. Adding shorter courses among the options to deepen knowledge in a given discipline (e.g., data analysis, policy evaluation, etc.) could be an asset for graduates facing the competitive job market. - Proposing a few disciplinary seminars throughout the years could also be extremely valuable to appreciate the job in real life, as well as expand the critical thinking required.- Participation in live sessions was always extremely low (not to say absent), at least during my years. Although it has always been pleasant to exchange with the teachers, the possibility of engaging in conversations with groups of people sharing their experiences and opinions is invaluable, especially when a program is fully online. Not to say this absenteeism must be extremely frustrating for the teachers there to dedicate their time. Maybe a mandatory participation of at least 50% can be considered?- Despite being a master's degree, there is no accompaniment to the related job market. I think it would be extremely important to organize a career day, during which graduating people can meet representatives of NGOs, public and private sectors to connect, exchange, and, why not, to get a first internship/job opportunity. This can also be organized with virtual rooms, if an in-person event is not conceivable.- Finally, some kind of document, even temporary while waiting for the official diploma, attesting the completion of the studies is necessary. Without any kind of proof, it is impossible to apply for positions or be hired, obliging graduates to forced unemployment in the meantime.
I have been studying with LSBF since 2024, and I was fortunate to have Martin Jones as my tutor for the Financial Management paper.Martin’s teaching style left a lasting impression on me. His ability to simplify complex concepts, combined with his engaging and approachable demeanor, made the learning experience both enjoyable and highly effective. His dedication to the school and his students was evident, as he went above and beyond to ensure that everyone succeeded.During my time at the course, it was clear that Martin was a highly respected and beloved tutor at LSBF. His passion for teaching and genuine care for his students set him apart, making him an invaluable asset to the institution.
I am highly recommended anyone who wants to pass ACCA examinations, LSBF is the right place to study. The SBR tutor is very clear on guiding students on studying, including well explaining the accounting standards. Additionally, the online platform provided by LSBF is very user friendly and the resources is well organised. Hence, I passed SBR in December 2024 for my first attempt. I am glad that I chose LSBF to study my accounting journey.
I had the pleasure of spending 10 weeks prepping with Martin Jones ahead of my SBR exam in December 2024. Martin is a very knowledgeable teacher with lots of tips that had a huge part in me passing this exam. With 2 exams to go, I will definitely be back studying with LSBF on my way to becoming ACCA qualified.
It was my first time sitting for exams for a very long time. Mr. Martin Jones is an excellent lecturer. I thoroughly enjoyed his class, he made learning fun and there was never a dull moment. His style of teaching makes it easy to grasp and re-apply when needed. Thumbs up to LSBF and Mr Martin who gave me hope in finishing the race to ACCA qualification.
I successfully completed my courses end of November 2024. However when I enquired about the certificate weeks later, I was informed that the person dealing with such matters was away. Later on I made ab enquiry again just around the time I was told He/She would be available, The response was I will get my certificate within 4 to 6 weeks. Now its over 6 weeks now but still nothing came through.I emailed them again, And got no reply. That’s how bad the service is.Anyhow, I really appreciate the help they offered when I asked to swap my tests. I am really greatful
