Having now completed the OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Business Management, I feel able to leave an honest review without fear of it negatively impacting on my course.I enrolled on the course in November 2023. On 13 November 2023 I attempted to begin the course, but found I was unable to access the materials and emailed LSBR, having been unable to reach them by phone. I never received a response to my email. Fortunately, the issue appeared to resolve itself, and in January 2024 I was able to begin my course. At this point I was surprised to find that, despite being described as a LMS, I was merely provided with a list of links to read (many of which did not work, or led to sites that required additional payment) and there was to be no contact with a tutor. In fact when I requested course materials that, according to the assignment submission guidelines, was to be supplied by a tutor, I was told “The learner can select any organisation based on UK for the same”.Nonetheless, I managed to pass 5 out of the 6 units without issue. However, my assignment for the unit The Management of Human Resources was rejected twice, the second time with the additional feedback that I should use “proper numbering”! After requesting more descriptive feedback from the assessor without success I requested a phone call. I was contacted via WhatsApp with the message “Hi. ur assessor from london school. if u r free we can talk” - which obviously did not fill me with confidence. After confirming I was free, I then received a WhatsApp phone call by someone who gave their name as Natasha. Communication with Natahsa was not easy as she had a very strong Indian accent, the line was bad, and her child was screaming and shouting in the background throughout the entire duration of the call. Despite this I managed to establish that this assessor had requirements that went beyond those set out in the assignment submission guidelines provided, and on the third attempt I was able to pass the unit. Whilst I am pleased to have achieved the qualification, my experience with LSBR has been disappointing due to poor communication and a lack of professionalism and if I had been aware from the outset that (despite the name) LSBR was not a UK based organisation, I may have chosen an alternative training provider.
