Caution with hair in recovery!

I visited Lucinda Ellery in Bristol in May 2021 which was 8 months after chemo and had the full intralace system. I was reassured that my natural hair would continue to grow underneath the system and it shouldn’t be damaged. I loved my system and it gave me a huge amount of confidence so I have no issue with the initial hair piece (although reading some of these reviews - I also had a couple of faulty partings!). In December 2021 it was taken off for the 6 month check. Honestly, I could have cried in the chair at the state of my hair underneath (I did on the way home!). When the system came off, most of my hair on my crown came with it. I was therefore pretty much bald again on top, which for anyone going through cancer treatment and trying to grow their hair back is devastating! On reading some of these reviews, I was also made to feel that this was my fault, apparently due to product build up underneath. I still can’t get my head around how I was meant to know this was an issue when you can’t see under the system? Surely at the 6/8 week checks, this should have been noticed instead of leaving it on for 6 months?I didn’t kick up a fuss at the time, I was too shocked and devastated. The salon ladies were lovely, while it wasn’t admitted, I got the feeling they felt sorry for me, however recently Lucinda Ellery has been posting on Instagram about the system working for chemo hair. I posted an honest review to warn other ladies who may be considering the system after chemo and to explain my experience and my comment was deleted!!! This really didn’t impress me, it’s one thing to have an bad experience individually but to delete an honest review to warn other people in a similar situation to proceed with caution after already going through through the trauma of losing their hair is disgusting! There’s also the cost - these are not cheap systems, please do your research and choose wisely. I wish I’d found raccoon in recovery first, they seem to know a lot more about chemo hair and also seem to care about the natural hair which in hindsight. I don’t believe LE do.
