I fly Lufthansa as a code share airline, in which the airline I booked was on United. Lufthansa flew me from Denver to Munich, then on to Athens. I have flown on Lufthansa for three round trip tickets in 2022. The first segment was disappointing as I was booked in premium economy and was given a seat in the middle of a row in basic economy. For most people, they would complain, be ignored as the airline would say they would need to speak with United about the codeshare situation. I did do the same thing, and went to United, where they told me that I was indeed booked on premium economy. Lufthansa refused to honor my ticket as purchased, and I suffered through the middle seat in the back of the plane. I am 75" tall and always purchase the premium economy or business class for my own comfort. It was no different on the way home. The second segment, my checked baggage was lost for 14 days. Keep in mind this is my uniform for work and vital medical equipment I need for my job as a flight nurse. I had to purchase about $500 worth of equipment and clothing to tie me over. I filled out all of the correct forms and submitted receipts. Lufthansa again told me that United Airlines was responsible for this, even though my last two segments were on Lufthansa. I have yet to be reimbursed for these expenditures. I am currently on my third trip and the same thing is happening. I booked a premium economy seat, and was seated in the middle row of basic economy. Flight attendants are rude and short with the passengers, gate agents the same. When I call Lufthansa, I am put on hold for hours before I finally hang up. There is no customer service agent available by phone, there is no email that will accept incoming messages, absolutely no way to speak with a live person. I have told my booking agent to please refrain from booking me on Lufthansa ever again. The service used to be good and the airline was proud to be in the top 20 international carriers. It has slipped so, so far, in such a short amount of time.
