PROS: Love their website as the platform is a lot easier to use than Amazon and less buggy too. The cover designer is a breeze and extremely user friendly for amateurs like me. Printing houses I contacted always found big problems with adapting my cover for some reason, but not Lulu. I basically just slipped in the images for front back and spine and hey presto, it was done!
CONS: 1) The lack of any communication to provide an indication of progress on the printing and delivery of orders is something that this company could improve on. It appears they might be using Third Party printing houses located in the country or state of the customer, which is okay, but the emailing of updates on progress as a courtesy would be appreciated. 2) Their AI robot is hopeless. It often provides entirely the wrong information, then it automatically closes the case, which some customers might consider rude. If you want to chat with a real human you have to email back, which does at least happen within 24 hours. I am not complaining about the human contact aspect. I am complaining about the apparent stupidity and rudeness of the AI chatbot.
