On delivery, my new BMC bike from LVR Cycles had a slightly damaged front derailleur, probably from rubbing against the metal brake disc on the front wheel (the protective plate had apparantly fallen off during storage or transportation). Legally, I could not claim warranty because I had signed the delivery note without prior inspection of the content. But Julien Castanier from LVR kindly offered to file a warranty request on my behalf anyway. The manufacturer, BMC, accepted the warranty request, and a new front derailleur arrived today, free of charge.
