Cheap, nasty, rude and unhelpful

Don't waste your time, energy and money on Lyca. I agree with EVERY review posted (one star). They are all rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. I purchased the Lyca 5G 200 €9.99 which included unlimited calls/sms and EU roaming (13gb) however l was unable to text, receive calls/make calls. The only way l could send/receive messages was with wifi, even though my iMessage was not activated and those l was messaging were not using iMessage. I called Lyca after the first day and explained my situation. The consultant was so rude and unhelpful that l asked to speak to a supervisor. Of course the excuse was given to me, the supervisor is in a meeting and will call me back within 24 hours, this did not occur. I called every day thereafter (8 times a day) but never got through. I sent an email and received no response. I continued calling each day, all day until l got through on the 14th day. The consultant was more rude than the first. I requested a full refund but was advised that l could not get one because l had used it for 14 days. What a joke....... l reported the issue on day 2 of purchasing the sim/plan. I paid for a service so l expect that service to be provided, especially the basics of messaging and calls. When l requested the refund l was advised that l would receive a call within 5 business days, it's now 14 business days and have not heard a thing and my plan expires in 2 days. I am now in Malta and am unable to message/call anyone even though they are part of the EU. Lyca also tried to push the problem back onto the store where l purchased the sim/plan (a third party). I was told that as a result from purchasing it from a store and paid cash, l may not be able to get a refund . I argued that this 3rd party is selling a Lyca product and representing Lyca which means Lyca is responsible for any issues that occur. The supervisor tried to deny any responsibility. As l said, and many others have too, don't go with Lyca, it's not worth the headache and the last thing you want to do on holidays is make calls to a telephone company that are miserable, rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. I have always gone with Vodafone in the previous years and NEVER had a problem but someone mentioned Lyca and l thought l would give them a try..... a BIG MISTAKE.....Please don’t think that when Lyca reply on your review and apologise, saying they will look into it, they don’t. They show that they care on the reviews but it’s all show. In actual fact, if the service you paid for worked and if the consultants did their job in the first place there would not be any negative reviews. DON’T go anywhere near them!!!!
