I bought the X1 (purple and white) for my wife, as a Christmas/birthday present. She's been hinting at wanting one since we rented a pair while on vacation. Bottom line, she absolutely loves it! And she rides it everywhere in our community. At up to 26mph, the speed is impressive. Granted, it doesn't go on the open road (we're too old for that), but since that's the speed limit in our community, it's perfect for her needs. We now have 2 X1's and have to share them with our teenage grandkids, who tend to visit more than ever before. If there is one negative (and it's a minor one) it's the pedal assist, which fully engages the motor, so that you really aren't able to pedal the bike if you wanted a little exercise while riding. The rental bikes we tried focused on the pedaling, and the 3 motor speeds aided the rider by making the pedaling easier as you went from 1-to-3. That's not how these bikes are designed - you start to pedal and off you go. Nonetheless, we still have a blast riding around on our X1's. It doesn't get better than this!
