The intention behind offering an easy workout for older people is good but there are some tactics being employed here that are not good.
My signup experience:
Was offered an 80% discount for a 4 week workout plan with an upfront payment of $9.99USD.. I was fine with this, however I didnt like the rest of the process. There are a bunch of addons which have been made super easy to add (big bright orange button) but there isnt a "No Thanks" button -- the place for this would be right next to the button to add; instead you have a far less obvious and tiny "x" in the corner you have to keep clicking and its the only way to stop all the extras being added and being able to move further through the registration process - it didnt feel like a 'no pressure' onboarding process...
Eventually I was given a QR code to install the app. Did this and looked at the workout content. The videos look ok..
I later got an email saying the plan would renew at $39.99USD a month for the next renewal. I went and cancelled this renewal because I only wanted to try it for a few weeks - but here is the strangest thing; as I was cancelling they wanted to offer me a greatly reduced monthly fee of only $0.99 per month going on, just to keep me...
I dunno.. it feels like theres a lot of smoke and mirrors with costs and things hidden away in fine print..
There seems to be an overwhelming number of complains here on trust pilot for unexpected charges experienced by people - a lot of this is no doubt due to the smoke and mirrors tricks used and things tucked away in some fine print somewhere in a dark corner...
I took away 2 stars due to the ethics behind trying to force addons during signup and what feels like smoke and mirrors with billing/ongoing charges.
