I rented a car for the first time in my life, so I was full of concerns, especially after reading the reviews. The agent was DiscoverCars and everything went very well. There were no problems with both Magic Island and DiscoverCars. Everyone was helpful and polite. In Madeira, all I had to do was call the office and the driver arrived after a few minutes, the documents took literally a few minutes, the car was in good condition, fueled and clean. Returning the car was even faster, I immediately got information that everything was ok with the car and confirmation of this by email. As for the deposit, the information is given that it is collected and returned after 30 days. If we do not want to lose on currency conversion, it is enough to set up a currency account and that's it. I did not lose a single euro. Before the 30 days had elapsed (on the weekend) I wrote to Magic Island whether it was no problem and I would receive a refund before the 30 days specified in the contract. After a few dozen minutes I received a message that they had contacted the bank and the refund would be made within 24/48 hours and in fact on Monday morning I already had the entire deposit in my account. Thank you very much for the positive experience and I thank myself for not canceling the reservation after the negative comments.
