This product has impressive marketing, but upon closer inspection, their promotional videos are shot from a distance and straight on. We purchased a mantle for our bedroom. Upon entering the room, the side view of the mantle and fire effect looked like a TV displaying a fire video. They are very strict about returns, and since we had to open the box, we were unable to return it! (how can you assess something without unboxing it?) We decided to keep it but disabled the 'magic' effect and used the log set for a subpar flame effect. It does heat the room well. We also attempted to return a second insert for our living room, but shipping it back cost around $700, plus they charged a restocking fee of about $600 (the boxes were unopened). In total, I spent approximately $1300 just to find it didn't look realistic. Additionally, they withheld another $300 because the unopened log set was damaged upon arrival at their facility, likely due to shipping issues. So now, I'm out around $1600 for nothing. We ultimately found a much better fireplace log set for our living room. To sum it up, this company and its product are anything but 'magical.'
