🚨NEVER USE MAGNET 🚨
This has been one of the worst experiences we’ve had from start to finish.
After spending thousands of pounds upfront on a kitchen from Magnet Kitchens, we expected a high-quality, professionally delivered result. What we received is not even close to satisfactory.
From the outset, things were poorly handled. The initial measuring service was unreliable and required assistance, which immediately raised concerns. When the kitchen was delivered, we discovered over £1,000 worth of unnecessary stock we had been charged for, alongside multiple missing items, including handles, shelves, and cupboard doors.
We then used a fitter from Magnet’s recommended list, expecting a vetted, professional standard. Instead, the installation has been shockingly poor:
• Cupboards are uneven, with inconsistent gaps throughout
• Units were installed starting from the wrong side of the room, leaving visible gaps against the wall
• Communication was inconsistent and confusing, with different information given to me and my partner
• A gas pipe was punctured during installation, which is extremely concerning
• One cupboard cannot open properly without opening another, something dismissed as “the nature of the cupboard,” when it is clearly due to incorrect fitting
• The island was installed in the wrong place
When the fitters left, we were left with a visibly flawed kitchen. Within just two weeks, issues escalated further:
- A cupboard door is already falling off
- Some cupboards don’t open
-The look if the final kitchen is flawed
Following all of this, we contacted Magnet to resolve the situation. While we were allowed to return a small number of surplus items, the majority were simply left as a financial loss. Customer service has been dismissive and unhelpful throughout — directing us back to the fitter who isn’t interested rather than taking responsibility, despite the fitter being from their recommended network.
We are now left with a kitchen that is:
• Poorly fitted
• Incomplete
• Already deteriorating
For a purchase of this value, the lack of accountability and support is unacceptable.
I would strongly advise anyone considering Magnet to think carefully before proceeding.
