If you want an inexpensive personal email provider, then it is okay. However, the server is slow, the calender does not sync with other devises and the customer service is silent.
Ok, so tell me why, i forgot my ROBLOX password. It was linked to my mailo account and i tried to reset it. Guess what? The mailo security BLOCKED THE EMAIL!!! “We are blocking third party services because you are using Mailo Free!” Yeah, and now my roblox account is locked by your “security system”. ONE STAR. Dont ever try this email service.
The website looks very amateurish, with errors in translations and things like that.While the list of features looks good, even for the free service, those features don't all work. I.E. I haven't been able to get SMTP to work in Thunderbird.A few days in I got an error "Server mail.mailo.com has disconnected. The server may have gone down" in Thunderbird and a notification "Impossible authentication" on the website. With an contact link to the service administrator, but those emails have gone unanswered. Three weeks and no change in the situation.In short, I'm so glad I hadn't signed up for a paid account yet! End of story.Edit: after Mailo's reaction to my review, I wrote a couple more emails, but there has never been a reply.
At first things seemed fine.After about half a year of use the issues started.1. A full outage and no way to find out what was happening. Everything was down for almost a full day2. My account was locked/disabled. After 2 weeks still no reply or a proper explanation. On a login attempt all I get is a supposed info that there is a Terms of Use violation. Not that I can find the reason even after reading them twice.In short: email is way to important these days to than to trust a dubios service such as this.Stay away from mailo.com!
Basicaly it's good alternative for all in one ecosystems. It's not as advanced as big spying companies, but it does it job well.- There's a lot of free logins and aliases to use. I'm using my name. - Free tier is enough, but I'm running on paid tier (from 1€ per month)- there's a lot of services within Mailo.com ecosystem, like storage, calendar etc.- 2FA is supported - everything is stable and accessible - iOS/Android app will be updated this year
