An essential resource for community choirs

Our community choir views this organization as a crucial resource for obtaining necessary insurance for venue use and managing payments to the rights management entity. The group actively promotes the positive social effects of singing and music-making while providing additional support to music ensembles. We have been dedicated members for years and highly recommend it to others.

Issues with online membership renewal...

I was unable to renew my membership online before the year ended. I had to wait until after the new year to get in touch with someone to resolve the issue.

Music Bank

Website easy to use and resourceses very helpful. My one request would be for a bulk upload to the Music Bank. Our choir has 70+ titles with more than 40 copies of each, too much to add title by title. Inter-choir lending can make a significant difference to music hire/puchase costs, which in our case can reach £1,000/annum.

The PRS guidance has been really useful and simplifies the whole payment process which can otherwise be a nightmare to complete each year.

Great Support for Musical Groups.

Making Music provides a straightforward way for our community choir to obtain insurance, necessary for our use of a hall, and to pay fees to the Performing Rights Society. It campaigns to promote the social benefits of singing and music making as well as providing other support to musical groups. Our choir has been a member for years and would recommend it to others.
