I’ve placed orders for Man Crate products in the past and always had a very pleasant experience so, naturally, with Father’s Day approaching I immediately thought to get my Dad something awesome from Man Crates. Having had experience with their ordering process previously, I knew to expect a pre-authorization charge on my account in addition to the actual purchase cost. Typically, that pre-auth charge is reversed in just a few days and all is well. This time, surprisingly, my account was assessed 2 pre-auth charges in addition to the purchase charge and only one pre-auth fell off. I reached out to customer service via the text/chat feature to get confirmation that the second pre-auth would also come off. The rep I spoke with, Jennifer (if that’s really her name), was rude and snarky and it was completely uncalled for. Perhaps it’s because of my own profession that I have such high standards for customer service, but her snarky response was most certainly unwelcome and had she been one of my employees, she would not have gotten away with it. When I asked her for a link to complete a survey she mysteriously disappeared, so now I’m here leaving this review. Based on some of the other snippy responses made on bad reviews on here, it seems Man Crates has fostered a culture of rudeness and condescension among their customer “service” professionals, so I can only imagine the lack-luster response this will generate. Nevertheless, it’s not in my nature to let poor customer service go … here’s to hoping my Dad’s gift arrives on time and in pristine condition, and that the second pre-auth is reversed in 24 hours.UPDATE: I’ve updated my review from 1 to 5 stars. While I was appalled at the way my inquiry was initially handled with customer service yesterday, I am perfectly pleased with Man Crates’ handling of my concerns. THIS is what exceptional customer service looks like and I am happy to say I will continue HAPPILY ordering from Man Crates in the future. Thank you Elizabeth and team for responding so quickly and proving what I’ve always believed about this company, quality products AND quality service!
