I was contacted by Mangates via LinkedIn to deliver youth wellbeing workshop in January, wich was cancelled 24hrs before the delivery day. I was then asked to deliver a full day leadership communication on 24th Feb, I signed NDA and paid for printing of certificates and workbooks out of pocket as well as catering at Mangates request and promise of reimbursement. I issued invoice for the agreed workshop delivery fee, printing and catering the day after training with 7 day payment terms to 4th March, I was contacted by the finance team saying ‘payment due date falls between March 17th to 26th’ which I agreed to honour. On 31st March I emailed asking about payment and the response was ‘experiencing some technical issues related to our payment processing system’ and ‘We kindly request your patience until 8th April, by which we expect the payment to be successfully processed and received.’ On the 9th April I sent yet another email asking why I haven’t been paid and still more excuses about technical issues. I demanded immediate payment or to be put in touch with a manager, and since then it’s been radio silence. It’s now been 7 weeks since I delivered the training for them and have not received any payment and now they are ignoring my emails and messages. This is so unprofessional, I would definitely NOT recommend dealing with them or accepting any work from this company!
