DO NOT TAKE AN AMBULANCE. I was rushed to hospital with a suspected DVT. But as I was not admitted as an inpatient (i.e stayed there overnight etc), they are refusing the 800€ ambulance bill. Even though they acknowledge it was medically necessary and an emergency. So - if you break your leg or whatever and need medically necessary transport to A&E, you're better off getting a taxi, or dying.
