I got the mcneela wild whistle last week and honestly wasn’t expecting a huge difference vs my other whistles but I thought Id give it a go because of the ratings. I’ve been playing on and off for years and have a few cheap ones and one more expensive one, but this one just feels easier straight away. The sound is really clear, especially in the top notes which usually drive me mad on other whistles, build feels solid, like it’s made to be played not just looked at. Delivery was fast, came quicker than i thought. Nice that it comes with a case, i always end up throwing mine in a bag and hoping for the best 😅 i bought the high D first and now i’m already thinking about getting a c or an alto. this one is just nicer to play, hard to explain but i keep picking it up without thinking, Definitely worth it.
