This service presents itself as a trustworthy emergency response solution for seniors, but our experience proved otherwise. My father, in his 90s, fell and became unconscious. His independent living facility quickly called for an ambulance, yet the service did not contact us until about 90 minutes later—by which time he was already in the ER and later admitted to the ICU with a brain hemorrhage. They claimed they were preparing to send EMTs to his home long after emergency care had already started. When I escalated the matter, the supervisor only asked questions that seemed intended to deflect blame: Was the device visible? Did he press the button? Does he test it monthly? There was no acknowledgment that a fall-detection device is useless if someone is unconscious. Additionally, we had previously ordered a replacement device because the original failed during another fall. The replacement arrived faulty and wouldn’t hold a charge. We were told to return it but were never informed of a 14-day return policy hidden in the online terms. Because of this undisclosed policy, they denied the refund. My father lost $215. This service relies on fine print, legal loopholes, and scripted customer support instead of accountability. Seniors and their families deserve transparency and real protection—not excuses.
