This service promotes itself as a reliable emergency response option for seniors, but our experience suggests otherwise. My father, who is in his 90s, fell and lost consciousness. His independent living facility promptly called for an ambulance, yet the service did not reach out until approximately 90 minutes later—by then, he was already in the ER and admitted to the ICU with a brain hemorrhage. They informed us they were preparing to send EMTs to his location, well after emergency care had begun. When I raised my concerns, the supervisor concentrated solely on questions that seemed aimed at deflecting blame: Was the device visible? Did he press the button? Does he test it monthly? There was no recognition that a fall-detection device is ineffective if someone is unconscious. Moreover, we had previously ordered a replacement device due to the original one failing during another incident. The replacement arrived defective and wouldn't hold a charge. We were instructed to return it but were never made aware of a 14-day return policy buried in the online terms. As a result of this undisclosed policy, they denied a refund. My father lost $215. This service relies on fine print, legal loopholes, and scripted customer support instead of taking responsibility. Seniors and their families deserve clarity and genuine protection—not just excuses.
