!!! To anyone approached by this company: !!!

The company "Medicare" in Portugal is *not* a health care service. It is a systematic fraud company whose goal is your wallet.
The following can be verified by anyone (and i urge users to verify):
-They use predatory tactics to gain new users, including, but not limited to; 'fast and easy' subscription to their program so you start paying immediately, difficult or impossible unsubscription (forcing you to wait up to a year before being able to stop paying them), and misinformation.
-They provide little, to no support for the customer in all cases, and the customer is the last priority on their list.
-They use malicious methods to hide their fraud, including fake reviews, a cover website, and shiny cards which mean nothing.

Once you are in, they will send debt collectors on you if you do not pay. They do not care about you, only your wallet.

I heavily advise you block any number or contact that approaches you associating with this fraud.

Hold time on phone completely unreasonable

I understand that the medicare info line is going to be congested. Why can't they offer call back or give updates on whether it is a one hour or four hour wait?

Big Warning!!!!!

I honestly don't have words for this clinic. I met one of the most chillingly unproffesional doctors here. He asked me if I was ill or if I was distracted by my "boyfriend" when l came to seek help during my studies for my C-PTSD with my husband who is born here in The Gambia. He also wanted me to write my own note about what I was going through and lastly prescribed me medicine which offcourse was some lazy anti depressant prescription just to get me out of there without any knowledge about what I was going through. I got a panic attack in there and told them that I needed to be excused because I didn't feel safe in there. While I was gone the doctor told my husband: You need to send her back to Sweden the illness that she has is going to disturb you too much. Very unprofessional and illegal. He was also one hour late to our appointment. BIG warning. However, I give this clinic two stars because of one other doctor who was a gynecologist that was actually very good at his job and made me feel heard, safe and respected. I would write the doctors name here for clarification so anyone could avoid going there to be ridiculed or take any of his prescriptions because not to be harsh but that doctor deserves to have his license taken away.

Poor experience with Medicare cancellation and billing

I want to share my experience with Medicare to warn others. On August 30, 2025, I signed up for a plan remotely, and on the same day I sent a request to their email asking to cancel (i.e. to withdraw). Over the next weeks, I sent several follow-up emails and used their website forms, but I got no reply. On September 4, I noticed an attempted direct debit from my bank, which I disputed. As of September 29, I still have not received confirmation that my cancellation was accepted. Meanwhile, I keep getting SMS messages requesting payment and marketing emails, even though I did not consent to them. This process has been frustrating and confusing, and I feel dissatisfied with how Medicare handled my case

Don't call if you have an emergency

All promises by the salesman, I had a mecical emergency, called the number, most of the time the English option did not work, although this was promised in the sales pitch. Long story short, 29 minutes, 11 calls, numerous transfers and cut-offs later I am still nowhere. A David called me back, asked for my wife's date of birth, said that this did not correlate with what he had on file and told me to start the cycle again. Sure.......I will gladly take this further with them if they have the inclination, they apparently have the telephone call recordings... let's see...Follow up : Indeed the wheels do turn, albeit at their own pace. I did receive a return call, a doctor was despatched and arrived that evening and took care of the issue. Thank you

Really bad service level

Unfortunatelly, the service levels promissed by MEDICARE are not followed, therefore i do not recommend this service at all

Terrible and fraudulent company

Terrible! Never use this fraudulent company! They act against the law and you pay for at least a year. The cancellation policy is against the EU law. We paid for a year, they did not cancel when we asked them to cancel and then the continue the contract for another year. When we had an incident they said; no, we are not going to pay as we are just virtuel. They need to be put in prison!
