mediczechmy journey started 2 years ago after i booked a TT, i chose Dr Skala as he had previously done my breast reduction & uplift with great results, along with upper blepharoplasty to my eyes ,another great result. Being diagnosed type 1 diabetic that year , i felt safe and knew i would be looked after at Mediczech , with both my coordinators & my surgeon , this was proven correct when on the day of my TT i had all my blood works done along with other tests, how ever, my blood sugars were high that morning , ( i was new to diabetes & didnt realise ) the interim doctor & coordinator came to see me & told me they could not operate due to this, however dissapointing this was at the time, they did the correct thing and my health and safety was put first i am very grateful for this.Covid then came about, and everything came to a standstill , in this time i got to grips with my diabetes , my blood sugars were under control & i also lost weight! i rebooked my op for January this year at long last! Arriving at Mediczech i was shown to my room, which was spotlessly clean and adequate , while my partner stayed on site in the Jungle apartments upstairs , this time all went well, i was fit and healthy to go ahead with my op, exciting times at last! The operation was completed with no complications , and i awoke in my room with lots of care from the nurses , nothing was too much for them & their English was exceptionally good ! Dr Skala came round the next morning to check all was well, giving good advice on how to manage etc. i stayed 2 nights, then went up to the apartments for the remainder of the week. The apartments are well kitted out everything you could possibly need, toaster , hob, microwave , a superb huge bed and even Netflix !After returning home, i developed a swelling that caused me some discomfort , i sent photos to Tina via WhatsApp and was given immediate advise which was to return to the clinic to see Dr Skala, this was well organised and i was back within a week, i had a hematoma which needed drained , this was entirely down to my own body and not my surgeon , i was taken in and the hematoma was removed very easy i then spent 2 days back in the apartment all free of charge. Fast forward a few weeks and my swelling had completely gone leaving me with a nice flat tummy, my scar was already amazing ! Now its been just over 7 months and i am more than happy with Dr Skala's work, so happy infact i am returning in the New Year for my 4th op with him on my back. I feel in incredibly safe hands ! I cannot thank Mediczech and all its staff for looking after me so well , and especially to Tina who has always been just a message away. x
