I ordered something for pickup because they didn't have it in stock in the store and they told me it would be ready ~5 days later, I never got an email or confirmation or heard anything about that, I went in about a week or so later and waited for about 30 minutes for one of the salespeople to talk to me and then they went and found the item in the back. I had never gotten any sort of notification that it was ready.
