They sent me the wrong item, then gave me a hard time exchanging

They sent me the wrong item, which would not be a big deal. But when I went to try to send it back for the correct item, they 1) tried to insist that I had been sent the correct item (which I for sure had not) and then 2) finally realized that the item they had sent me was worth roughly 4x the item I had purchased and 3) then made me return that item and wouldn’t send me my item UNTIL they had received the return. Like they were worried I wasn’t going to return the expensive item, even though I had to beg them to believe that they had sent the wrong item in the first place. Then, when they finally received the mistaken item, they didn’t want to send me my item, like they said they would. They wanted to issue me a credit. But my item was no longer on sale, so the credit would not be enough to re-purchase my item. I got passed around from CSR to CSR until finally someone used my credit and issued me my item. Luckily it arrived in time for Christmas after all of that. It was a giant pain in the neck honestly. I felt like I was being treated like I stole the more expensive item, even though I was just trying to return it for what I had actually ordered.
