I've purchased numerous solid gold jewelry pieces for my wife, including necklaces, bracelets, and mostly earrings. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of buying larger hoops in gold vermeil, and they changed color before she even wore them. Despite trying to exchange them for solid gold, I was only given another pair of the same low-quality earrings. Disappointed in the lack of quality for the price, I advise against investing in anything that isn't solid gold. Additional note: the retail worker also gave me a polishing cloth to clean the unworn (still in the cloth bag and box) earring stating that it was a common issue for the gold vermeil to change color. Not worth the 80 dollars.
