Me and my wife stayed at Santiago Plaza Affiliated by Meliá in Santiago de Compostela, the past 10th of Abril for our anniversary.
I booked a room with a double bed, Although I understand it was "subject to availability," the hotel failed to inform me at any time, even at check-in that they were giving me twin beds instead.
More importantly, the hotel staff confirmed they had Superior rooms with double beds available, but they refuse to move me into one unless I pay an extra fee, despite the communication failure on their part.
Imagine spending your weeding anniversary in twin beds...
