Membean somehow managed to take learning words—something that should be mildly interesting—and turn it into a full-time personality crisis. The “adaptive learning” feature just means it keeps showing you the same word until you start questioning your life choices.
The interface looks like it time-traveled from 2007 and decided to stay out of spite. And instead of actually learning vocabulary, I’ve mostly learned that I have the patience of a goldfish and the attention span of a rock.
By the end of a session, I don’t know more words, but I do know new levels of frustration I didn’t think were possible.
One star. The bean is not memeing.
