We dont even live in our property, evacuated due to flooding and subsequent mould.Since moving out we have been getting power bills as high as when we were living there. But we moved out all of the appliances and it’s gas heating and hot water and cooking.Customer service extremely bad and rude, no reply to emails for days then when we talk to an actual person we were told that we definitely have been using the power and that nothing ever goes wrong with the wiring or the smart meter. How???So stuck with a $400 bill to pay and property is empty???Have a million things to deal with with the fixing of my property and the last thing I needed or wanted was arguments with Meridian.Will be changing companies as soon as I move back in.A bit of kindness and compassion for people in a disaster situation and an offer to get someone over to check the meter would have gone a long way.
