My dad had used the Manchester branch of this company since January this year. My sister and I can't get to my dad's as much as we'd like with work commitments so we employed this company through the NHS. My dad is 91, stone deaf, has dementia and all the carers only speak basic, broken English. Even I can't understand what there talking about and it's impossible to explain to them. They turn up when they want, giving microwave meals at 11am instead of sandwiches which the family provide food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They don't fill the log book in for upto a week then back date it which is illegal as it's a legal document. They call for ten minutes maximum then sit outside in there car for an hour before going. There's obviously no monitoring though when you call the office the staff are clueless. One carer was throwing bin bags from the kitchen into the back garden and not the bin outside. One carer hasn't even got a bicycle so relies on buses and walking all day. They give him his medication which is what matters to us though he had diarrhoea with them reheating a microwave meal later in the day. There's clearly no common sense, training or care from anybody within the company. Im in the process of moving to another company at they can't be any worse.
