Just spent £309 on a fixed price repair for one of Miele's higher range dishwashers. The engineer arrived the 3rd time, but Miele cancelled the other 2 appointments at short notice meaning a lot of time was wasted our end. It is 9.5 years old but as we have two, it is only used 50% of the time (household of 3), which makes it equivalent to having used it for less than 5 years. Their marketing claims they can last 20 years. Less than 4 weeks later, it has developed another fault which I am expected to pay another £309 for. So, within a month they want £618 (the price of a decent dishwasher from another manufacturer) to repair it, with no guarantee that I won't be hit with more repair bills for further faults. Customers pay a huge premium for Miele's products (which used to be fantastic and reliable) but are now being faced more and more with correspondingly eye watering costs for repairs that are required years before they should be. Have contacted Customer Service but they are not interested.
