I am backer #528. I paid $239 in January 2020. It is now 2026 and I still have nothing. The support team (Salman) keeps sending me "urgent review" templates for 2 years now. They admitted they have no stock but refuse to refund the shipping fees I already paid. Do not trust this company.

Miko has a bug bounty program, which states "Miko strives to acknowledge receipt of all submitted vulnerability reports within 1 month of submission."

I submitted a bug report more than two months ago, they fixed the security vulnerability, and have since ghosted me.

Very unprofessional.

I backed Miko Neo and Swap boards on Kickstarter six years ago and never received anything. No boards, no proper resolution—just endless waiting.
What makes this worse is that the company later acquired Squareoff, which means they also took on the responsibility of fulfilling Squareoff’s outstanding Kickstarter obligations. That includes delivering these boards or at least offering a clear, honest resolution. Neither happened.
Six years is far beyond any reasonable delay. If you acquire a company, you acquire its promises too. Extremely disappointing experience and zero accountability shown. I would not recommend supporting this company based on my experience.

I backed Miko products on Kickstarter around six years ago, including Miko Neo and Square Off boards, but my order was never delivered. Despite waiting for years and trying to follow updates, I did not receive the products or a clear resolution. After Miko acquired Square Off, I expected transparency or fulfillment, but that never happened. This experience left me extremely disappointed, especially after trusting the brand based on earlier reviews. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

Customer support is another major issue. Getting a clear response takes a long time, and solutions provided are generic and unhelpful. Updates are inconsistent, and some advertised features either don’t work as promised or feel unfinished.
For the price, the quality does not justify the cost. There are far better educational toys and learning tools available that offer more value, reliability, and transparency. I would not recommend Miko Robot USA to parents looking for a dependable and truly interactive learning companion.

Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience
I backed the Miko Neo and Swap chess boards on Kickstarter almost 6 years ago. I paid in full and patiently waited, trusting the process as a supporter.
Unfortunately, the boards never arrived. Over the years there have been repeated delays.

I backed the Miko Neo and Swap boards on Kickstarter 6 years ago, and to this day, they have never arrived. It’s incredibly frustrating to see the company move on and even acquire Squareoff, yet there’s been absolutely no resolution or delivery of the products we supported. Backers have been left waiting with no clear communication, broken promises, and nowhere near the service we were promised. For a project that raised money through crowdfunding, this level of poor follow-through and lack of accountability is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this company — they failed to deliver what we paid for.

Misleading Claims About Emotional Intelligence and Safety

The product is advertised as offering "emotional intelligence," being "safe," and providing "parent-controlled" experiences. However, it primarily depends on fixed third-party video streaming content that parents cannot remove, disable, or effectively limit, which goes against reasonable consumer expectations set by the company's marketing. This situation reflects deceptive practices through omission, manipulative design, and misrepresentation of parental control.

Extremely disappointed with the customer service!

I’ve never experienced such poor customer service! I placed my order at the end of November, relying on their 6-10 day delivery promise, which included a guarantee for Christmas. After repeatedly following up for a delivery update over the past week, I was assured multiple times that my order was on its way. Yet, Christmas Eve arrived with no product in sight. When I expressed my concerns, I was offered an unhelpful month-long trial of the service. I can’t wait to share this ‘great news’ with my son, who will be without a gift.

Six Years of Unfulfilled Promises

After six long years, I am left with nothing but unkept promises from this company. I backed the Kickstarter for the Neo and Swap boards six years ago, and my order is still nowhere to be seen. It’s been over five years of updates that lead to nothing and endless excuses. The company took over responsibilities for fulfilling these overdue rewards but has chosen to remain silent on the matter. It’s incredibly disheartening to watch them promote and sell new products while disregarding the early supporters who contributed significantly without ever receiving their products. If you’re thinking of purchasing anything from this company, be cautious: they show little respect for their customers and lack accountability in honoring their commitments. I’m still waiting for boards I paid for in 2018. Save your money and look elsewhere.
