This is a well-known administrative situation in Germany: the physical ID cards are often not renewed for years, even though the legal status remains valid.What makes this particularly unreasonable is that I already hold a German-issued driving license, which required full identity verification and passing the German driving exam.It is disappointing that MILES ignores the legal reality and instead applies rigid internal policies that effectively exclude a group of legally residing people. Policies like this raise serious concerns about fairness and equal access to services.
