Mollie held back 20% of our client’s revenue as a rolling reserve. That itself is understandable. The problem is they never communicated this upfront and just quietly started witholding 20% of the revenue.
This led to a serious situation where our client suddenly could not access over €50k in funds, we ended up having to loan our clients a personal loan to ensure they didn't go bankrupt.
Support did not help. Slow, unclear, no real ownership of the issue, it took over 2 months to get the funds released.
If you are considering becoming a partner, be very careful. Unexpected reserves without proper communication can hurt your clients and your reputation fast.
