My husband was recently in the hospital unexpectedly for four days. The majority of the time is was cognitively impaired.
You called him while he was in the hospital. I wasn't there at the time, (his wife and healthcare power of attorney). He told me later that someone had called and said that he qualified for some free food when he got home. He said yes, not really knowing what he was agreeing to.
He went home 3/9/26 and on 3/17/26 a mysterious, big, heavy, box arrived. I'm disabled and he wasn't strong, so it was difficult to get the heavy box into the house.

The food didn't look very appetizing but he did try it for dinner that night. He thought it tasted very bad, but forced himself to eat about 1/3 of the meal. Other meals were no better and the majority were not used. We thought of donating the meals to a local food pantry but given the quality it didn't seem respectful.
To get rid of the box with the very heavy ice that doesn't melt, my husband nearly fainted while taking it to the dumpster!
It seems like you are taking advantage of the insurance companies pay for this service. You shouldn't be calling a patient while they are still sick in the hospital and not thinking straight.
The box is too big and way too heavy for seniors and recovering people to deal with! Wouldn't dry ice be of lighter weight? And more than one smaller box would be better for most people to carry.
The taste and appearance, (the food looks grey) is depressing.
Your marketing makes it seem like a convenient and helpful gift from the insurance company, but it's not. Kindness and respect are expressed when you put yourself in the other person's place. Please think of how you would feel to have this come to your house, especially when you're in a weakened condition.
Now, when we thought that would be all, another big box arrived!
