We were subjected to a serious safety concern regarding a car we purchased from Motonet, located at 146–164 Lockhurst Lane, Coventry, West Midlands, CV6 5NY (Tel: 02476 637124).We were sold a car that is not roadworthy. While driving for 3h from Coventry the car started signalling a fault. We stopped at the roadside and discovered that the rear driver wheel bolts were all missing, leaving the wheel tilted outward and held in place only by the locking bolt.It is only by sheer luck that the locking bolt prevented the wheel from detaching completely. Had it failed, we could have been killed on the motorway, and other road users placed in grave danger.This incident raises serious concerns about the dealership’s practices and the validity of the MOT issued for their vehicle. We believe this poses a significant risk to public safety.We have reported them to the DVSA.
