Paid 17K for a vehicle that was fine on a test short run, then when I picked it up a week later warning lights came on just after a couple of miles. Reported it and took it back. Nearly 2 weeks later and they said the works are done. Got it back..... then warning lights came on and same faults. I had it independently diagnosed and was told that they did not do any works but only switched off the warning lights, which only lasts a certain time. They also discovered that it has a loose anti roll bar. The van was not fit for purpose even though it had a fresh MOT.Works is ERG £1,500, and the anti roll bar £250. They said to me that the works for replacing an ERG is no more than a quarter of that and so cannot accept the quotation. I have now collected 3 quotations and all are around the same price. You be the judge. Also, if you are a mechanic please respond with your opinion on the cost?Anyway, I have seeked legal advice and now the stage I'm at is giving them 14 days to respond, basically to agree to pay for the works.Hold tight..... I'll inform you as we go.
