I had a flat battery on a narrow country lane. As a single woman, I needed breakdown cover. I called at 10:57 Thursday to request roadside assistance, advising them not to send a recovery truck. Two hours later, a recovery truck arrived, but the driver couldn’t do breakdowns. He went to request roadside assistance but never returned. After a lengthy call to customer service, I was told help would arrive, but 90 minutes later, another recovery truck came. The driver left again to request roadside assistance. I spoke to customer service again, and as it was now dark and very cold, I suggested they send someone in the morning. I received a text at 8:05 saying someone would arrive by 9:35 am, but they didn’t show up. I was then promised help by 11:48 am, but that didn’t happen either. I received no follow-up call from customer service as promised. Now, I’m waiting for a call by 1 pm, 27 hours after my initial call. Avoid this organization; it’s essentially a call center that fails to deliver.
