Placed a reservation for a Toyota i10 advertised as being less than 2 years old and in excellent condition (hence the high price being asked). When I viewed the car it drove well however, there was a deep 4 inch scratch just above the instrument console which the sales person (Lily) said would be easy to buff out (I didn't think this was the case - and upon later investigation I was told the dash trim would need to be completely replaced.)

Due to the early fob off about the dashboard scratch I asked to have a good look around the car and there was significant damage to the interior tailgate trim, the parcel shelf, the rear of the passenger seats as well as the passenger doors. The rear seats were filthy. When I challenged the sales team about this it was explained that the previous owner was a wheelchair user and this explained the damage/dirty state of the car.

I was told everything could be rectified but I cancelled my reservation immediately because I felt there might be other potential issues being glossed over by the team bearing in mind they had let a car in this condition be offered for sale and taken on a test drive. IF this is an indication of the rigorous pre sale check Motorpoint goes through it is a poor indication of the quality of there cars/service being offered.

To top it all two weeks later my reservation fee hadn't been refunded despite me writing to the sales person twice. Turns out after waiting 30 minutes to speak to a very lovely person in customer care my refund hadn't been processed because they hadn't entered my last name on the refund. Who knows how long I would have waited for that money to come back. Interesting they can take the money from you instantly but are reluctant to give you it back.

I would recommend you look elsewhere.
