I had Movesafe broker my move for January 2025. As part of this process, I provided their sales rep with images of everything that I was moving. The sales rep put together and estimate of 1100 cubic sq feet. Some of my items were missing from his estimate, but there was also additional of other items. I pointed this out and was told that it would balance out. Come moving day and the moving company documented that I have 1550 cubic sq feet of items to move. That's a 40% increase over the estimate. This resulted in an additional ~$1500 in unexpected costs for the move. While I understand that it was only an estimate, being 40% off is too far off. I contacted Movesafe and had them do a review. They took no accountability for the actions of their sales rep and offered a small $150 rebate. This is absolutely unacceptable. Their sales provided the estimate based on the images I sent and was still somehow 40% off. They should have taken accountability for this.
