Can a company live up to a name like that?Yes they did!We had lived in our old flat for 41 years since we got married. We moved in from parental homes and owned the flat for three months before moving in. We had never really moved before. Downsizing after 41 years was a challenge and very intimidating. Did they make it easy for us?We’d have to say”no”. It wasn’t easy. It remains the most stressful thing we have gone through apart from the illness and death of our parents. However, they made it possible! They did so much to help both in advance of and on the day of the move. (The entry above for “date of experience” is a bit of an oversimplification. The help in preparing - from packing materials through advice given and the very helpful pack of information - was really appreciated.)As for the day itself. The team of three guys (sorry we’re not good with names!) turned up at the agreed time. They were professional and friendly. They were considerate and careful with us, our possessions and with the locations at each end. There was one mishap and it certainly wasn’t their fault. It proved impossible to manoeuvre our bed into the new flat. Despite the valiant and ingenious attempts it couldn’t be done. They remained very careful and were very apologetic at the failure. We nearly wrote “their failure” but as we made very clear on the day it was entirely outwith their control. There was quite a bit of“To me, to you” but as we said at the time “definitely NOT the Chuckle Brothers!”The bed joined the other surplus items which they delivered to Shelter who are their partner charity. That was a very useful and free add on. They weren’t the cheapest option but, while we could have found cheaper, we are sure we couldn’t have found better or indeed anywhere nearly as good. They came highly recommended by two separate family members who have used them and we would unreservedly recommend them. Their parting gift to us was four iced shortbread biscuits with suitable new home messages. Does that sound just a bit tacky? Perhaps. But it was a lovely touch and a highly appropriate accompaniment to our first cup of coffee in our new home. Would we use them again?In the best possible way - we hope not! We don’t intend to move again. But if we did end up moving guess which name would be at the top of our to do list. Thank you Alan, Donna and the team on the day. ❤️
