I ordered a sideboard online and chose the option to collect in store, the unit was showing as 'in stock'. There was some delivery information on the site but as I was collecting the unit I assumed this did not apply. I went to the store to collect it and I was told that I would have to wait for delivery to the store from the distributor. As I found out, the website is separate from the actual local store outlet which is not clear from the website. I, like most people, assume that when you select a local branch and an item is marked as in stock and you if you choose to collect, the item should be available almost immediately unless otherwise stated. Most other online stores with a collect option show what is in stock at a particular store and ready for collection, the click and collect option should tell you when you can expect to collect CLEARLY.
