Well I put a guitar in my cart. I made an offer for a brand new guitar to another company. While I waited for a response from them I get a call from Guitar Center. It was Musiacians Friend wanting to know why I haven't finished the purchase. I explain this and the sales rep doesn't even try to see if they can persuade me to purchase from them. They let me know they will email me there info and if I don't buy from the other company I can always call then and they will get it to me as fast as possible. I never got that email. I did however get a response from the store in Florida, not only did they give me $200 off on the guitar, but a gig bag to boot.
My biggest issue is, why call my personal phone number 4 times in 2 hours, leave no voicemail or callback number, and not even attempt to compete when I finally answer the phone? The fact that I have purchased 3 guitars from you guys in the last 8 months should have let you know I am not just a browser, You lost a sale and gained this review.
With the price of everything going up, you should be trying to earn every possible sale you can. The fact that your sells rep didn't really feel that way was great for me. I now have first place to check online with a dealer that doesn't mind making a deal.
