I bought a download of full Kontakt, 1st of all I'm surprised that it takes a couple of hours to get the installation code, never happened to me before. That's ridiculous!!! I buy it, you immediately generate a code number, I plug that into my installer and I'm making music when I should be, right away! But this is now much more than a couple of hours so you're also liars too. Is it because it's after your working hours, in this digital world it's 24/7. I sent you my money right away, I didn't mail you a bag of quarters.

So I'm going to tell all my musician friends NEVER to order digital software from Musician's Friend, you ain't no friend of mine.
I've got all this time writing a crummy review because I can't make music because I can't use my software that only runs on full Kontakt cause you idiots are asleep at the wheel. Go screw Yourselves!!!!! You've turned me into a Sweetwater guy.

I ordered a mixer for my buddy’s dj set up and the company called saying it was broke. I needed it for Friday the 13th. I called musicians friend on the 11th and spoke with Brian F. He was extremely helpful and had a new mixer on my door step on the 12th. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service I received!!

This is my second "purchase" from your company. November, same item. Showed as available and ready to ship. I purchased the item and immediately received a notification, it is back ordered. This was a Christmas present for my kid. As a "backordered" item my expectation was it would auto ship once stock was reinstated. Days passed, weeks passed, then a month. Your "in stock" notification email went straight to my spam folder. So, it stayed in stock and never shipped to me. As I did make a promise to my son, yesterday I decided to find a different company and proceed with a guitar purchase. Clearly I forgot this company's name as low and behold, its on back order yet again. Hey, here is an idea for you and your procurement system. If the item is not in stock? Just do not advertise the product as a ready to ship item?! Thanks and BTW I will not be purchasing my drum set with your company. Falsely advertising "in stock" is not cool.

Amazing Deal on a Used Guitar!

I purchased a used guitar for a great price of $144. It's a good instrument, even though I'm usually a Gibson fan. My previous guitar, an Epiphone Explorer, was destroyed in a moment of frustration after a personal loss. I salvaged the electronics and upgraded the new guitar with them. I even made some modifications to enhance its performance. Despite some challenges during the process, I’m excited about my purchase. The representative I interacted with was very kind and helpful. Although my holiday hasn’t been the best, I truly appreciate the support. If you enjoy unique music, I recommend checking out a band I like; their sound is worth a listen!

Simmons (Musicians Friend) went above and beyond for me today so I wanted to share my experience. My son started taking drum lessons this year and to start him off I bought him a used Simmons SD350 kit, he has really dedicated himself to the craft so for Christmas I wanted to get him a new kit. Since Simmons is such a great brand and I myself bought a TD-70 kit from Musicians Friend earlier this year I decided to have him keep his pads and just upgrade his module to the TD-50. I bought a used one online and it arrived quickly but to my dismay the pads were not working properly with the kit. I called Simmons Customer Care and the gentleman on the other line said that I would need a new breakout/snake cable for the TD-50 to work properly. I asked if they would be able to sell me a replacement cable and he put me on hold well he checked the inventory. The hold time was fairly long due to the holiday week but when he came back not only did he let me know he had one in stock but also that he found my Musicians Friend account and since they own Simmons he wanted to send me the replacement cable for free, even covering shipping. He also apologized for the hold time. This was A++ Customer Service and going above and beyond for the customer. I thank Musician's Friend so much for being such a wonderful company and taking care of your customer's. This made my New Year!!!

Extremely dissatisfied with the condition.

I am very disappointed. Just because it’s labeled as Grade 1 doesn’t mean it should come with scratches or missing components. The pickup was clearly pre-owned, with tape still stuck to its underside. Several essential parts were also absent. I’m unsure if I can even use it without these components. I hope the other unit is in better condition; otherwise, I’ll have to utilize the 45-day guarantee to return the entire product. This item should have definitely been discounted, especially the pickup portion, which should have been priced at half or less.

I had previously ordered some cases during a special promotion on 10-25-25, but they were on back order and still are. Today, on 12-4-25, I noticed a similar case available in stock. I contacted the support team, and they efficiently canceled my previous order and helped me take advantage of the new offer. The process was quick, easy, and very pleasant!

Fantastic Support Experience

I reached out after encountering issues while trying to finalize my purchase with PayPal and spoke with a representative. They were incredibly helpful and informed me of alternative options.
